It wasn't until 2000 until when talking with a fellow vet that my erratic behavior may be PTSD. After talking with him, I contacted my VA rep, went through extensive testing with the VA and they informed me that I had an anxiety disorder/PTSD, for which I have been taking medication for the last 10 years! Three marriages, countless jobs and relationship problems, in general. In 2001 the VA acknowledged the fact that I have PTSD and gave me a disability rating of 10%, which my VA rep that I now have keeps telling me was a slap on the hand! Plus since then, I've learned that I had a number of other service connected disabilities that have never been acknowledged!!!
